Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Seascape by Edward Moran for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,173.45). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Moran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Commerce of Nations Rendering Homage to Liberty in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,327,500.00 (€ 1,254,963.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seascape von Edward Moran für USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.173,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Moran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Commerce of Nations Rendering Homage to Liberty im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.327.500,00 (€ 1.254.963,13).
