In October 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work A Lengthy Farewell by Edward Lamson Henry. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,823.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Lamson Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flower Seller in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 49,350.00 (€ 56,763.29).

Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Lengthy Farewell von Edward Lamson Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.823,61) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Lamson Henry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flower Seller im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 49.350,00 (€ 56.763,29).
