Auction result well in line with expectations
The work East Side Interior by Edward Hopper was sold in the Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century auction at Christies in Sydney in August this year. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 34,874.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Hopper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chop Suey in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 91,875,000.00 (€ 81,140,157.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit East Side Interior von Edward Hopper wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century bei Christies in Sydney versteigert.
