The price achieved of USD 91,875,000.00 (€ 81,140,157.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000,000.00 – 100,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Chop Suey is the most expensive artwork by Edward Hopper that we have observed at auctions so far.
