Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Summer Vacation by Edward Henry Potthast was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 68,064.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Henry Potthast achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Water's Fine in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,384,000.00 (€ 1,028,766.82).
