Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edward Dufner could be acquired at Bonhams in Paris in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Bather in Early Morning Light changed hands for USD 5,376.00 (€ 5,045.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Dufner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Among The Lilies in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 64,000.00 (€ 43,572.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Dufner konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Bather in Early Morning Light für USD 5.376,00 (€ 5.045,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Dufner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Among The Lilies im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 64.000,00 (€ 43.572,98).
