In October 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Summer Days by Edward Dufner. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,034.28), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Dufner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Among The Lilies, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 64,000.00 (€ 43,572.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Days von Edward Dufner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.034,28) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Dufner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Among The Lilies beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 64.000,00 (€ 43.572,98) versteigert wurde.
