In May last year Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Spring, which included the work Portrait De Jeune Femme by Edouard Verschaffelt. The »bidding war« ended at MAD 65,600.00 (€ 6,541.05), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edouard Verschaffelt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scène Familiale in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 72,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Spring durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait De Jeune Femme von Edouard Verschaffelt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von MAD 65.600,00 (€ 6.541,05) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edouard Verschaffelt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scène Familiale im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.250,00.
