Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La préparation du couscous by Edouard Verschaffelt was auctioned at Artcurial in December this year. It changed hands for a price of MAD 328,000.00 (€ 30,006.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of MAD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edouard Verschaffelt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Scène Familiale, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 72,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La préparation du couscous von Edouard Verschaffelt kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von MAD 328.000,00 (€ 30.006,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von MAD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edouard Verschaffelt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Scène Familiale beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 72.250,00 versteigert wurde.
