Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Artcurial held the auction Orientalism, which included the work La Veillée by Edouard Verschaffelt. The price achieved of EUR 9,100.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edouard Verschaffelt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scène Familiale in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 72,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Veillée von Edouard Verschaffelt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.100,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edouard Verschaffelt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scène Familiale im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.250,00.
