Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art, which included the work Les Fileuses by Edouard Verschaffelt. The price achieved of EUR 48,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Edouard Verschaffelt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2007 the work Scène Familiale was auctioned for EUR 72,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Fileuses von Edouard Verschaffelt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 48.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Edouard Verschaffelt konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2007 die Arbeit Scène Familiale für EUR 72.250,00 versteigert.
