Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La Prière by Edouard Verschaffelt was sold in the Orientalist Paintings auction at Artcurial in Paris in December 2010. It achieved a price of EUR 17,851.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19 %. Admittedly, works by Edouard Verschaffelt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scène Familiale in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 72,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Prière von Edouard Verschaffelt wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion Orientalist Paintings bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 17.851,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edouard Verschaffelt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scène Familiale im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.250,00.
