Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work The Tidal Creek by Edmund Morison Wimperis for GBP 179.25 (€ 261.14). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Morison Wimperis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Across the Moor in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,587.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Tidal Creek von Edmund Morison Wimperis für GBP 179,25 (€ 261,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Morison Wimperis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Across the Moor im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.587,56).
