Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle watering at a stream by Edmund Morison Wimperis was sold in the The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists auction at Christies in London in January 2007. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 633.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Edmund Morison Wimperis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Across the Moor in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,587.56).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 633,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund Morison Wimperis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Across the Moor im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.587,56).
