Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work On the Ouse by Edmund Morison Wimperis. The price achieved of GBP 2,875.00 (€ 4,781.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Edmund Morison Wimperis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2000 the work Across the Moor was auctioned for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,587.56).
