Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work View Of Cuba by Edmund Darch Lewis. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,617.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Edmund Darch Lewis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2009 the work Newport Harbor, Twilight was auctioned for USD 50,000.00 (€ 34,176.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of Cuba von Edmund Darch Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 24.617,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Edmund Darch Lewis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2009 die Arbeit Newport Harbor, Twilight für USD 50.000,00 (€ 34.176,35) versteigert.
