Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two ships at sea with a lighthouse in the distance by Edmund Darch Lewis was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in February 2007. The price achieved of USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,179.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Darch Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Newport Harbor, Twilight in September 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 34,176.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two ships at sea with a lighthouse in the distance von Edmund Darch Lewis wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert.
