Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caravan Along The Coast by Edmund Berninger was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,929.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Berninger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View of the Bay of Sorrento, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 41,397.26).

Die Arbeit Caravan Along The Coast von Edmund Berninger wurde im Januar 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.929,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00.
