Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2001 Christies in London held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work A Desert Encampment by Edmund Berninger. The price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,444.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Berninger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View of the Bay of Sorrento in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 41,397.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Desert Encampment von Edmund Berninger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.444,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Berninger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View of the Bay of Sorrento im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 41.397,26).
