Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edgar Samuel Paxson could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Covered Wagon changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Samuel Paxson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The War Party in May last year with an auction result of USD 283,500.00 (€ 264,187.87).
