Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 53,295.00 (€ 51,627.43). Admittedly, works by Edgar Samuel Paxson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The War Party in May last year with an auction result of USD 283,500.00 (€ 264,187.87).

Die Arbeit Sunrise at Agency Creek 22 x 36 in. framed 32 x 45 in. von Edgar Samuel Paxson kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 53.295,00 (€ 51.627,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Samuel Paxson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The War Party im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 283.500,00 (€ 264.187,87).
