Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chief Joseph, Nez Perce 16 x 12 in. framed 20 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. by Edgar Samuel Paxson was sold in the The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The price achieved of USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Samuel Paxson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The War Party in May last year with an auction result of USD 283,500.00 (€ 264,187.87).

Andrew Bjurman bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert.
