Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running Eagle, Sioux oval 14 x 10 in. framed 18 x 15 in. by Edgar Samuel Paxson was sold in the The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,300.00 (€ 14,821.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Samuel Paxson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The War Party in May last year with an auction result of USD 283,500.00 (€ 264,187.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running Eagle, Sioux oval 14 x 10 in. framed 18 x 15 in. von Edgar Samuel Paxson wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 14.821,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
