Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a Sho-Sho-Ne by Edgar Samuel Paxson was auctioned at Christies in Los Angeles in May 2000. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,287.50 (€ 5,668.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Samuel Paxson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The War Party in May last year with an auction result of USD 283,500.00 (€ 264,187.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Sho-Sho-Ne von Edgar Samuel Paxson kam im Mai 2000 bei Christies in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.287,50 (€ 5.668,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Samuel Paxson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The War Party im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 283.500,00 (€ 264.187,87).
