Hunt Collection auction at Christies in New York in October 2020. It achieved a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,078.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by E. J. Bellocq achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Storyville Portrait, New Orleans, c. 1911-1913 in October this year with an auction result of USD 56,700.00 (€ 53,652.54).

Die Arbeit Untitled, Plate 27, From Storyville Portraits, 1911 von E. J. Bellocq wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.078,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von E. J. Bellocq erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Storyville Portrait, New Orleans, c. 1911-1913 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 53.652,54).
