In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, British and Impressionist Art, which included the work Gathering The Harvest by Duncan MacGregor Whyte. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,707.57), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Duncan MacGregor Whyte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beach at Perth in November 2019 with an auction result of AUD 12,200.00 (€ 11,071.79).

Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, British and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gathering The Harvest von Duncan MacGregor Whyte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.707,57) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Duncan MacGregor Whyte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beach at Perth im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 12.200,00 (€ 11.071,79).
