This artwork by Duncan MacGregor Whyte achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2013. In the Victorian, British and Impressionist Art auction, the work 'A Hebredian Harvest' sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,317.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Duncan MacGregor Whyte; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Beach at Perth sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of AUD 12,200.00 (€ 11,071.79).
