Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Portrait of Andy Warhol', 1973 by Duane Michals. The price achieved of GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,095.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Duane Michals - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol', which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,356.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Portrait of Andy Warhol', 1973 von Duane Michals zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.095,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Duane Michals mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.356,39) versteigert wurde.
