Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Constantine’s Dream, 2003 by Duane Michals was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,300.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Duane Michals have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,356.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Constantine’s Dream, 2003 von Duane Michals kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.300,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Duane Michals auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.356,39).
