Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Robert Downey by Duane Michals was sold in the Photographs Now The Collector's Edition auction at Bonhams in London in July this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,613.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Duane Michals achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,356.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Robert Downey von Duane Michals wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.613,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Duane Michals erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.356,39).
