Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work White stockings by Douglas Portway was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in November 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,313.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Douglas Portway achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,245.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit White stockings von Douglas Portway wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.313,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Douglas Portway erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.245,92).
