Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Putting on her stockings by Douglas Portway for GBP 625.00 (€ 729.62). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Douglas Portway achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,245.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Putting on her stockings von Douglas Portway für GBP 625,00 (€ 729,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Douglas Portway erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.245,92).
