Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Teatro Comunale, Modena by Doug Hall. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,861.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Doug Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Highway 50, Nevada #1, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,543.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Teatro Comunale, Modena von Doug Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.861,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Doug Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Highway 50, Nevada #1 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.543,33) versteigert wurde.
