Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Doug Hall could be acquired at Christies in New York in August 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Archive of the Bank of Venice, 17th and 18th Century Room, 1997 changed hands for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,711.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Doug Hall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Highway 50, Nevada #1 in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,543.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Doug Hall konnte im August 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Archive of the Bank of Venice, 17th and 18th Century Room, 1997 für USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.711,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Doug Hall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Highway 50, Nevada #1 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.543,33).
