Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (black/yellow); and Untitled (red/black) by Dorothy Dehner was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 2,052.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dorothy Dehner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Septenarius in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 100,800.00 (€ 86,545.89).
