The work Poem in Oracle Bone script by Dong Zuobin was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 40,800.00 (€ 4,965.06), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Zuobin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Poem in Oracle Bone script von Dong Zuobin wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 40.800,00 (€ 4.965,06) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Zuobin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61).
