This price was achieved in the auction On Wings of Song: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Collection of Robert van Gulik at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dong Zuobin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion On Wings of Song: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Collection of Robert van Gulik bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
