Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Dong Zuobin was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,839.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Zuobin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Dong Zuobin kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.839,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Zuobin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61).
