This artwork by Dong Zuobin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy In Jiaguwen sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,716.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dong Zuobin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dong Zuobin erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Jiaguwen für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.716,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dong Zuobin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jiaguwen beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61) versteigert wurde.
