Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clearness – Narcissus(Painted In 2013) by Dong Shaw-Hwei was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. The price achieved of HKD 129,800.00 (€ 14,727.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 98,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shaw-Hwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).
