Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Peaceful Day - Phalaenopsis by Dong Shaw-Hwei was auctioned at POLY in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 200,600.00 (€ 22,928.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 170,000.00 – 220,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shaw-Hwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).

Die Arbeit A Peaceful Day - Phalaenopsis von Dong Shaw-Hwei kam im Oktober 2019 bei POLY zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 200.600,00 (€ 22.928,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 170.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Shaw-Hwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 551.445,65).
