Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script Calligraphy by Dong Gao. The price achieved of HKD 59,000.00 (€ 6,818.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Gao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenic Sites Of West Lake in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 146,670.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script Calligraphy von Dong Gao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 59.000,00 (€ 6.818,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Gao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenic Sites Of West Lake im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 146.670,69).
