Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dong Gao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June 2021. In the Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 28,050.00 (€ 3,046.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Gao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenic Sites Of West Lake in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 146,670.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dong Gao erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 28.050,00 (€ 3.046,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Gao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenic Sites Of West Lake im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 146.670,69).
