Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy by Dong Gao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at POLY in October 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 177,000.00 (€ 20,230.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Dong Gao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scenic Sites Of West Lake in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 146,670.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Dong Gao wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 177.000,00 (€ 20.230,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dong Gao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scenic Sites Of West Lake im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 146.670,69).
