Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Dong Gao was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,549.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Gao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenic Sites Of West Lake in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 146,670.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Dong Gao wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.549,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Gao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenic Sites Of West Lake im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 146.670,69).
