Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Mountains in Snow by Dong Gao. The price achieved of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 15,099.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dong Gao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scenic Sites Of West Lake in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 146,670.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountains in Snow von Dong Gao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 15.099,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dong Gao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scenic Sites Of West Lake im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 146.670,69).
