Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Dong Gao was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 118,000.00 (€ 12,450.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Gao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenic Sites Of West Lake in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 146,670.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Dong Gao kam im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 118.000,00 (€ 12.450,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Gao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenic Sites Of West Lake im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 146.670,69).
