Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Don (Orange) by Don Brown for GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,073.62). This price was achieved in the auction POST WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Don Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yoko XVI - 2006 in June this year with an auction result of EUR 39,360.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Don (Orange) von Don Brown für GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.073,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion POST WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Don Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yoko XVI - 2006 im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.360,00.
