Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Insho Domoto could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP auction, the work Unknown changed hands for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,513.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,500.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Insho Domoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chikaku ("Perception"), which sold at auction in September 2002 for USD 13,145.00 (€ 13,306.00).
