Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Insho Domoto could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Dagyo changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,724.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Insho Domoto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chikaku ("Perception") in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 13,145.00 (€ 13,306.00).
